What is FenceTech?

FenceTech is an annual event held by the American Fence Association (AFA) that brings together professionals in the fencing industry. This year, FenceTech 2023 was held in Oklahoma City, OK, and it featured some of the best products, technology, and services related to fencing. Since its inception in 1982, FenceTech has become the largest fencing industry convention in North America. Over the years, it has grown to include a wide range of topics such as installation techniques, product and business management, and new trends in fencing technology. FenceTech provides an opportunity for those in the fencing industry to learn from each other, network, and make connections with vendors and other professionals.

As part of FenceTech 2023, the AFA offered numerous certifications for those looking to deepen their knowledge about the fencing industry. Some certifications available at FenceTech include Certified Gate Automation Designer and Certified Gate Automation Technician. These certifications can be invaluable assets in today’s competitive fencing industry.

FenceTech also culminates with the Awards Dinner, where the American Fence Association celebrates the achievements of its members. During the dinner, the AFA presents awards in several categories such as Outstanding Achievement, Community Involvement, and Meritorious Service. At this year’s FenceTech 2023 Awards Dinner, Quality Gates & Openers was recognized with a Commercial Ornamental Award for one of their custom-designed and fabricated brass pedestrian gates. It was an honor to be recognized by the American Fence Association at this event.

Chuck and Hayley both took advantage of the American Fence Association’s (AFA) Certified Gate Automation Designer School. Through their education, they each achieved their Certified Gate Automation Designer (CGAD) Certification. With this certification, they are able to provide our clients with a higher quality of service, safety, and reliability.
